Introducing Nikola Damjanov, a true master of the 3D art world! As a lead 3D artist at the renowned company Nordeus, Nikola has made a name for himself in the industry with his ability to turn even the most complex designs into stunning, lifelike creations. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of 3D art, Nikola is a force to be reckoned with.
But it’s not just his work that sets him apart, Nikola is also a true team player and a great leader, always willing to share his knowledge with the community.
Recently, Nikola released a 3D texture pack, a set of high-quality textures and materials that can be used to add realism and depth to 3D models. The pack was made available for free, allowing anyone to use it in their own projects, whether for personal or commercial use. This generous move from Nikola has been greatly appreciated by the community and it has been downloaded by many artists, who use it to improve their own work. He is a true inspiration for young artists who want to make a career in 3D art.
H8: Hello, can you give us a little introduction to who you are and what you do? Where do you live? What do you love about it?
H8: What are you working on just now that you are most excited about doing?
ND: Right now I’m participating in a community effort called Nodevember – it’s a creative challenge where you are making something based on a simple word prompt. Only limitation is that you have to use a node-based tool for creation, no direct manipulation.
H8: What has been your favorite moment on the project so far? What are you looking forward to the most in the future of the project?
ND: My favorite moments on projects are the ones where we solve unique problems with our own custom solutions – going from idea, prototype and all the way to the final implementation. It always feels good making something new.
H8: How do you prefer to start your day?
ND: I prefer to start it early 🙂 with a visit to a gym, hot shower and an even hotter coffee.
H8: What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend? Any story to share?
ND: Over the weekends you can usually find me outdoors with my kids, ideally exploring some new area. Preferably close to the river.
H8: What’s your go-to productivity trick?
ND: Reverse engineer everything you can get your hands on, it’s an amazing learning technique.
H8: What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
ND: Don’t be a jerk.
H8: If you could share one piece of advice for those who are just starting to create?
Nikola Damjanov: Timebox yourself.
